2. While the internal consensus seems to resist scandals, U.S. President Donald Trump receives largely negative reviews from the public across 32 countries surveyed by Pew Research Center, especially in Western Europe. Being considered more negatively than the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the French President Emmanuel Macron, and the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Chinese President Xi Jinping. In general, Trump receives lower ratings than his predecessor, Barack Obama, carrying also to a decline of ratings for the United States. However, positive ratings for Trump have increased since 2018 among supporters of right-wing populist European political parties in France, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, UK, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic and Hungary. 3. Founded in 2004, the QoG Institute is an independent research institute within the Department of Political Science at the University of Gothenburg, that conducts and promotes research on the causes, consequences and nature of Good Governance and the Quality of Government (QoG). Thanks to the work of around thirty researchers engaged in different projects, the QoG has constructed a large data bank based on a survey of experts on public administration around the world, available in an individual dataset and an aggregated dataset covering 107 countries. On the website it is possible to find the five dataset - QoG Standard Data, QoG Basic Data, QoG Expert Survey Data, QoG OECD Data, QoG EU Regional Data - and a Data Visualization Tool that allows displaying the data from the QoG Basic Dataset on a world map and in scatterplots.
